See why people love living here!
When you think of Pasadera Country Club and the community behind the private gates including Pasadera Real Estate (the Villas, Super Villas and the Custom Homes), you think of the casual and elegant lifestyle it offers members and residents alike. Located in the sunbelt, just 10 minutes from downtown Monterey and surrounding cities, Pasadera is a great central location for those who prefer to live close to the Monterey Peninsula, but just outside the reach of the summer fog.
Pasadera Country Club Clubhouse
The California Hacienda style clubhouse is beautiful and looks like it has been a part of the community for hundreds of years. With a cobble stone courtyard with a large classic water fountain, rustic stucco walls and Spanish tile roof tops, Pasadera’s Club House looks like it is right out of an old western movie. You would never know this entire development was started in 1999. Inside the walls of the Pasadera Club house and recreational facilities, just renamed Nicklaus Club - Monterey, members will find all of the modern conveniences you would expect including a first class dining room with high ceilings, a great fireplace and tons of natural light, high quality and flexible banquet facilities, a comprehensive fitness center, multiple tennis courts with instruction, two pool complexes, men’s and women’s locker rooms, and of course a world class Jack Nicklaus Signature Golf Course.
Pasadera - Jack Nicklaus Signature Golf Course
Pasadera’s golf course is a masterfully laid out track that takes the player on a journey through the California Coastal hillside it was built on. The course par 71 layout is unique in many ways and includes 6 par 3’s, 5 par 5’s and 7 par 4’s and can play as short as 5,807 yards or 6,807 when stretched all the way out. As you would expect from a signature course designed by Jack Nicklaus, this course requires the golfer to make risk reward decisions throughout the round and can be a very challenging round of golf. The signature hole is the Par 3 14th hole which sits at the top of the 375-foot elevation range of the course. You tee off from the top of a ridge and hit over a canyon to what appears to be a tiny little target of a green. In reality, the green is ample size and a quality golf shot is rewarded with a putt at birdy. Any fear or hesitation on the tee normally results in disaster! Jack had this to say about Pasadera, “At Pasadera, we haven't changed the landscape to accommodate the golf course, but rather we have adapted the golf course to complement what Mother Nature has already created. By doing so, we have given players an opportunity to experience the truly unique qualities of golf on the Monterey Peninsula." A round at Pasadera Country Club will expose you to a beautiful golf experience that will please your eyes and challenge the golfer inside you. The course is free flowing with natural style bunkering, has an incredible 375 feet of elevation change and will leave the golfer with a memorable experience as only master course designer Jack Nicklaus can do.
If you are looking for a luxury home, want to live in the sunbelt, but want to be close to all the Monterey Peninsula has to offer, the 575 acre Pasadera Country Club area might be the place for you. The weather is typically 10 degrees warmer than downtown Monterey, and there are several housing options available. Each offers ample space, newer construction and smart use of space and most importantly a lifestyle of casual elegance.
